Relax, Connect & Create!

Join author and designer Heather Powers for a weekend retreat inspired by nature.  This year's theme is "Into the Woods".  We'll explore the forest, trees and flora as our source for jewelry design.

This year we'll gather together in a woodland lodge next to the scenic Black River in South Haven, Michigan.  Escape on October 26th to spend three days creating jewelry and exploring a variety of techniques. Create pendants from resin with treasures found on the forest floor using a new patina system. Whip up felted and bead-embroidered leaves in autumn-inspired hues.  Spend a day sketching with a hammer onto metal blanks to create birch bark, Queen Anne's lace and pine bough components.

We'll soak in the color and sights of autumn as we unwind. The rustic woodland surroundings will be our backdrop as we delve into our creative journey. Make plans to join us now!

The retreat includes three classes and supplies, a U.F.O Party with guest instructor Erin Prais-Hintz, a gift bag with nature themed treats, a signed copy of Jewelry Designs from Nature, lodging and all your meals.

See the classes here.  General registration opens on Saturday August 11th.

Update: A few single rooms are now available for the lodge and non-overnight guest options.  We've also added a complimentary shuttle service from the Grand Rapids airport to South Haven.
